Spring wedding flowers. Spring is the season of the awakening of nature and flowers.
An explosion of colors and scents, you will be spoiled for choice for your wedding, here are the most beautiful flowers to choose from depending on the period of flowering and if you want, even their meaning:
1) The Tulip
This is the perfect flower to say that you love and will love forever. The tulip is a flower native to Turkey, which blooms between March and April. It was introduced to Europe in the 1500s and is the perfect flower for a full-blown declaration of love. Popular legend has it that the flower was born from the blood of a young man who committed suicide for love. But apart from the fairy tale origin, it is currently believed that it is an allusion to perfect relationships, not so much to unfortunate and deleterious ones. There is also another interpretation according to which the tulip represents the most unfriendly feelings: this would go against the most ancient beliefs, or, perhaps, it is simply another way to see love: beautiful, passionate, honest, but characterized by continuous whims and contrasts between two united souls, as Adriano Celentano sang in the famous song “L’emozione non ha voce” (Emotion has no voice). The particularity of the tulip lies in its tonality: just as love, depending on the person, can be experienced in a thousand different ways and evoke as many different sensations, so too, with its nuances, it describes the many faces of a complex and wonderful feeling at the same time. There are more than one hundred species of tulips, and as many can be its nuances.
2)The Peony
Peony has very ancient origins, it is already mentioned in texts of 2,000 years ago. In Europe, it wasn’t until the 18th century that peonies began to be appreciated, thanks to English and French botanists who introduced them to the Old World during their travels. The period in which peonies bloom goes from the beginning of April to the beginning of June according to the species. The peony flower has been one of the most venerated in the East for thousands of years as the bearer of good luck and a happy marriage. Showy, lush, elegant it embodies love and affection, prosperity, honor, valor, nobility of spirit and, in full bloom, peace. Sweetly scented and long-lasting, referred to as the ‘thornless rose’ by Europeans, a symbol of romantic love stories. According to the traditional Chinese meaning of the complementarity of opposites, the peony is of positive influence on woman and man in terms of their living together in harmony.
3)The Rose
There are more than 150 species of roses and they almost all bloom between the end of May and the end of September. The rose is the most popular flower in marriage: all roses generally symbolize happy love. For centuries it has been the symbol of love, devotion, admiration, beauty and perfection. Precisely because it is so popular, this flower has many meanings associated with different colors. Purple Rose, for example, is a promise of eternal and solemn love, fire red rose means passion and white rose means purity and virginity. Red and white roses together mean Unity.
